Ford Philippines Unveils Refreshed 2027 Ranger and Everest Lineups with New V6 Power
Ford Philippines has revealed the updated 2027 Ranger and Everest lineups, headlined by a new 3.0L turbodiesel V6 option, a standard 10-speed automatic across the board, and a simplified, lifestyle-focused variant structure.
Ford Philippines has officially unveiled its refreshed 2027 Ranger and Everest lineups, bringing sharper styling, smarter technology, more power, and a leaner variant structure to both nameplates. The headline change across the range is the introduction of a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 engine option, previously reserved for the gasoline-powered Ranger Raptor, now available on the Ranger Wildtrak, Wildtrak-X, and the new Everest Platinum.
What's New Across the Range
- The previous 2.0-liter bi-turbo four-cylinder has been discontinued in favor of a single-turbo 2.0-liter diesel producing 167–170 hp and 405 Nm, now with an updated fuel injection system and a timing chain in place of the old wet timing belt
- A new 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 producing approximately 247–250 hp and 600 Nm is now available on selected Ranger and Everest grades
- The 6-speed automatic has been dropped entirely, with a 10-speed automatic now standard across every Ranger and Everest variant
- Updated exterior styling with gloss and matte black accents replacing the outgoing models' gray or chrome trim, along with new wheel designs
Ford Ranger 2027: A Streamlined, Lifestyle-Focused Lineup
Ford has significantly consolidated the Ranger lineup for 2027, dropping the XLT, XLS, and Sport trims entirely. In their place, the Ranger now focuses on three 4x4 lifestyle grades, all equipped with electronic rear locking differentials: the Wildtrak, Wildtrak-X, and Raptor.
Ranger Wildtrak and Wildtrak-X
Both the Wildtrak and Wildtrak-X now share the new 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6, producing around 247–250 hp and 600 Nm of torque, delivered through the 10-speed automatic and a 4WD terrain management system with selectable drive modes. The Wildtrak-X sits just below the Raptor as the current top non-performance variant, and adds:
- Bilstein shock absorbers with position-sensitive damping, tuned soft in the mid-stroke for comfort and firm at the end of travel for control over larger impacts
- A raised ride height
- 17-inch Wildtrak-X alloy wheels
- Metal underbody protection, a bash plate, and a skid plate
- A 12.4-inch digital instrument display and 12-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- A 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system
- Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go
- A 360-degree camera
- Leather seating, a wireless charger, and ambient lighting
Ranger Raptor
The Ranger Raptor carries on as the range-topping performance variant, retaining its gasoline-powered EcoBoost V6, and gains updated Ford app compatibility for 2027.
Ford Everest 2027: New Entry Points, New Flagship
The Everest lineup has also been reshuffled, dropping the Ambiente and Trend grades in favor of four new variants: Active, Sport+, Wildtrak, and the new range-topping Platinum.
Everest Active and Sport+
The Everest Active, a 4x2 model, comes standard with 18-inch alloy wheels, leather seats, dual-zone climate control, rain-sensing wipers, and a 12-inch infotainment display paired with a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system. Moving up to the Sport+, also 4x2, adds 20-inch alloy wheels, two-tone leather seating, a 360-degree camera, and a full ADAS suite.
Everest Wildtrak
The Everest Wildtrak brings genuine 4x4 capability, selectable drive modes, a Terrain Management System, and the Wildtrak's signature exterior and interior treatment with distinctive orange accents.
Everest Platinum
The new flagship Everest Platinum is powered by the same 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 as the Ranger Wildtrak and Wildtrak-X, producing approximately 247–250 hp and 600 Nm, paired with full-time 4WD. Standard equipment includes:
- 21-inch alloy wheels
- A panoramic sunroof
- Quilted, power-adjustable heated and ventilated front seats with driver memory settings
- Matrix LED headlights
- A gloss black roof
- A 12.4-inch digital instrument panel and 12-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- A 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system
The Everest Platinum is available in four exterior colors: Absolute Black, Acacia Green, Aluminum Metallic, and Snowflake White Pearl.
Shared Everest Underpinnings
Regardless of engine choice, both the Platinum and Wildtrak variants share Ford's 4WD Terrain Management System with six selectable drive modes, a double-wishbone front suspension, and a coil-spring rear setup with Watt's linkage, with anti-roll bars front and rear.
